Depends. We at Keep Calm and Run To The Best You encourage you to only follow a three day per week training schedule. Run less and you will see that you will run faster. Have I ever ran on back to back days? Yes. Beginners feel so good that they want to run again the next day. Weeks 1-3, you can run on back to back days if you need to. The more time and miles you start to do, you are going to want a rest day.

what can i do on non run days?

Strength training, biking, walking, swimming, rowing, & yoga classes. Each of those exercises will enhance your running experience.

Is walking just as good as running?

Yes. Walking gives you the same anaerobic experience as running. Never feel like you are anything less due to being a walker!

What is the run,walk,run?

It is a strategic practice and race strategy that helps you run any race distance pain free, without shortness of breath and leave race feeling like you can run more.

*I am not the founder of this strategy. I’ve adopted this philosophy since meeting Jeff Galloway in 2015. I started teaching my members this system in 2018. This has allowed us to have people stick with running and not give up! This has changed my life and in turn all those that comes into our program.

How do I know how long to run and how long to walk?.

By taking a one mile test. When I first started using this technique, I was a 9 minute per mile runner. My intervals were 2min running with 30 sec walk break and repeat the entire race. Now I’m a 8min per mile runner for 5k’s and recorded my fastest mile at 7:11 at age 45. We need to have a conversation to help you find the best run, walk, run ratio for you.

How Long Is your workouts?

Depending on your goals. Our beginners program is only 3 days per week. Each session is about 45-60min. Even our schedules for distant runs are easy on your time.

I have previous injuries, do you think i can do this?

Absolutely! Some well meaning people may tell you that you are getting too old for this. Some may say you had this injury, you need to take it easy. Well as they say: “If you don’t use it, you will lose it!” With the right motivation, I started this program after a devastating knee injury. We teach you how to eat so as to eliminate inflammation in your body and boom! You’ll be moving better than you ever had before.

How often do you answer questions?

Your questions are important to me. I check emails 3x per day. Your questions will be answered with 24 hours.

Can I get your program as a gift for someone?
