#70 - A Love Note To Running
On Saturday, September 26th, 2020 it was National Love Note day. We thought that it would be a good idea to take this to the streets and ask people if they were to write a love note to running, what would it say? In fact, we would like you, the reader, or listener to the podcast the same question. You can submit your answer to coachtadris@gmail.com
This week we also asked for people to share their favorite running gadgets.
Let’s see what everyone said.

I had the privilege of doing a Facebook Live video with Genia Bittner from the Atlantic City Marathon Series on Saturday 26th, 2020. We went live to help support participants that ran in the Virtual Bungalow 5 Miler.
Genia shared her passion for running here in her dear running love note:
Genia Bittner:
Dear Running,
When we met I was trying to fit in. Trying to use my interest in fitness and memories of youth sports to become a runner. I watched you with other people on the boardwalk and tried to look like them or be like them. Once I got to know you I realized our relationship was different! Your relationship with everyone is different and you bring me so much more than fitness. You bring me peace of mind, confidence, and drive.
You show me that every day is different and new. You show me that the more I put into something, the more I succeed. You show me that giving up shouldn’t happen, but when it does, it doesn’t matter because you can always start again. Since we met, I realize more about myself and my goals and limitations. I have learned to appreciate what I can do and accept what I cannot. You have taken me to new places and taught me to appreciate the world around me. I look forward to our future and can’t wait for us to travel together again, visit new places and meet new people.
Always Love,
Genia
Terrence Koch: Running AC each year is a highlight for me. Just imagining I’m there right now is therapeutic.
Matt Anthony: Love note to running…. I miss you real races!
Marisa Roffi: Dear running you saved my life and showed me you can do hard things - 2x cancer survivor -💖🎉
Eric Share: Dear Running, I miss you. It’s okay that you’re seeing other people right now. I’ll come back to you someday. Remember, it’s not you, it’s me!
Coach Tadris @ Bungalow 5 Miler
Dear Running,
I love you for all that you are, all that you have been, and all that you’re yet to be! Thank you for not only changing my life, but you make others shine that I introduce you to also. You helped me meet some awesome people and we shared a lot of great memories together. Because of you, I’ve seen out of shape people, become in shape. I’ve seen old people become fast youngsters. I’ve seen people that were introduced to you overcome some difficult challenges in life. You make us all stronger, and for that, I thank you!
Love,
-Coach Tadris
