#82 - Best Running Advice In 4 Words or Less

IMG_0224.jpeg

When it comes to running, there is no need to complicate things. We do seem to complicate things due to all the noise. Listening or reading articles that tell us we should do this or that may complicate things for us. In this week’s post, we are going to review some of the best advice in 4 words or less.

You take these simple pieces of advice and apply them to your running or walking toolbox.

This article was inspired by one of our members Chris Ballard posting the above photo in our private Online Accountability Group. I thought; Let me post it on our Keep Calm And Run To The Best You FB page and get everyone's thoughts.

Below is a compilation of those thoughts.

Coach Tadris Reaches 1200 Mile Goal

IMG_9102.jpeg

My goal was to reach 1200 miles in the year of 2020. I’m happy to say that I reached it well before the end of December. Along the way to this goal, I have been able to continue my daily streak of walking or running at least a mile per day. My current streak is up to 424 days. Another streak has started, 12 months of 100 miles or more.

Receiving My Triple Crown Medal

PROUD OF MY 2020 MEDAL COLLECTION!

I received my last medal of the year in the mail yesterday! I earned the Atlantic City Marathon Race Series  Triple Crown for running their 3 special events. 2) Half Marathons and a 5 Miler.

Back to Back years achieving this.

This year may have been challenging due to Covid-19 but I ran and trained all year as if the event was live and I was going for gold!

Due to that training and mindset, I got my first and second BEST times in both half marathons.

My 2020 Disney Medal will go down as an all-time great experience as I got a chance to run with the amazing Chris Ganiel Ballard. When you take a trip to another state to run, it's nice to be able to have a familiar smiling face to run the event with.

1st Place overall male for my Virtual Race was pretty awesome. I remember in mile 3 starting to fade out and telling myself; You better pick it up or you will not win first place in your age group.

That message to myself helped me get first overall as I edged out the next male by 20-30 seconds.

Thank you all who made 2020 special by running with Keep Calm and Run to The Best You
