I found a quote that fired me up and it said:
“Believe in yourself more than you believe in your excuses”!
We allow our beliefs to hold us back from great things at times.
I Can’t get rid of the baby weight
I Can’t get past childhood drama with parents
I Can’t wake up early to train for a marathon
I Can’t seem to save a dime to buy a house, start a business, or go on your dream vacation.
I’m here to tell you, that you absolutely ……
Can lose the baby weight.
Can let go of childhood drama and thrive as an adult.
You Can wake up early to train for your next goal race.
You Can save for a new home, start a business, or dream vacation.
Build Upon Your Strengths:
Words are only words, you must fuel those words with passion and belief. How?
By letting go of your negative beliefs and start adding positive beliefs. Stop thinking about what you are not good at, and start focusing on your strengths. Understanding our weaknesses is great and we could always look to improve. Allocate time to understanding both your strengths and weaknesses. Once you understand them both, decide where to allocate most of your time. I’m suggesting that you allocate that time to your strengths! My wife acknowledges that I’m a better cook than she is. I’m quick to acknowledge that she’s a better cleaner than I am. Why try to change each other into the other? I can try to spend time learning how to paint a house or I can let a professional do it and save me time and energy.
A 5k runner can work on their endurance and become a half marathoner and may flourish. At the same time, it’s ok to try it, see that you are a better 5k runner, and stick to that distance. I never saw or heard about Usain Bolt (Retired Jamaican World Record Holding Sprinter) running a marathon! Find your strength, work on your strengths, Keep Calm And Run To The Best You!
