Why “Finding The Right Community” Is So Important For Your Fitness Goals.
The above photo was Joann Rivera first 5k in August of 2022 in Ocean City, NJ. On the right on same photo is Joann one year later, running with determination. Joann went from last overall to placing 9th in her age group (60-69). Joann is a perfect example of #nevertooold
Her Daughter Joelene’s Thoughts:
The woman on the left was always tired, had dreams she didn’t think she could conquer and was afraid to try. The woman on the right has determination, progress, energy and is ready to tackle anything in front of her. She now has goals and is working towards them with a new self esteem she has lost long ago, if she ever even had it. That woman is my mom. Exactly one year ago today she realized she can do it! Happy one year run journey! ❤️💪🏼🙌🏼
Big shout out to Coach Tadris Parker for helping her along the way!
