The Coach Tadris Podcast is for all things running, intermittent fasting & weight loss. I have a passion for helping people reclaim their lives. I encourage you to move more, eat clean, and run to the best you! - Coach Tadris
In this week’s episode, I discuss …….
Setting specific running goals, yet stay flexible.
When breaking a fast, I show you the importance of choosing your foods wisely.
The weight loss tip of the week is to create a bond with your dog by going on walks together daily.
Running Tip:
#19. - SET SPECIFIC GOALS, BUT STAY FLEXIBLE
“Brainstorm your training goals first, then write them down. Do this in pencil, so you can change some specifics when reality sets in.” —Jeff Galloway, Olympic runner/author/coach
“When you have your heart set on a upcoming milestone race event and you get injured, allow some extra rest days to heal. This is where the pencil comes into play. Do no panic, you will be ok. As long as you have not had a break or rupture most injuries will heal and you can still accomplish your goal. - Coach Tadris
Intermittent Fasting Tip:
#47 - CHOOSE FOODS WISELY - MAKE IT COUNT
When you’re eating is the focus of IF, but equally important is WHAT you are eating in that window. You can’t afford to waste space for junk food because your body needs good, clean fuel to run well. Don’t fill up on low quality foods, but choose foods that are both satisfying and nutritious.
“I love the Whole30 protocol not just as the reset that it was intended to be over 30-days, I also use it for mini resets 3-5 days to assure I’m breaking my fast wisely.” - Coach Tadris
Weight Loss Tip:
#47 - WALK THE DOG EVERY DAY
If you own a dog, make a routine out of taking walks. If you don’t, explore the option of borrowing a neighbor’s pooch or pursue a dog walking gig on the side. You’ll get a ton of extra steps in without even realizing!
Top 3 Tips For Walking Dog Daily:
Make the work before eating (Walk them and do leash training)
Walk them away from your home to go to bathroom (Extra steps for you and them)
After dinner go for a leisure walk, allowing your dog to explore while you work on digesting the food you just ate. - Coach Tadris
